PUBLIC TELEPHONES

Formed in 1991, Robin Technologies is one of the largest independent providers of public pay telephones in the Mid Atlantic region.

It may come as a surprise to many that not all public pay telephones are owned and operated by local telephone companies. Robin independently owns and operates public payphones throughout the Washington DC metropolitan area. In many locations, Robin has come to the aid of communities, installing public payphones in areas where the phone companies have ignored or refused to offer such service. Public payphones remain a vital link for communication, as well as emergency services, for citizens who cannot afford, or prefer not to own or use, wireless phones.

Robin provides payphones and payphone service to many local
governments and agencies including Arlington County,
City of Gaithersburg and the National Institutes of
Health
